How it works
Paste any live URL
Drop in the exact page you want to audit - a blog post, landing page, product page, anything publicly accessible.
Agent fetches the live page
The agent pulls the actual HTML from your URL in real time - no cached data, no simulated results.
40+ signals extracted
Title, meta description, headings, canonical, schema, Open Graph, images, links, word count, AI-citability and more - checked against the live SERP when you add a keyword.
Prioritised report generated
Issues ranked by traffic impact. Critical fixes at the top. Each issue includes what was found and exactly how to fix it.
SEO Audit Agent fetches the live HTML of any public URL and runs 27 deterministic checks across six scored categories, then uses a model to turn the failures into a ranked fix list. You get an overall score, the exact evidence behind every finding, and a Fix Pack you can download and paste. It is a free SEO audit tool: one Google sign-in, no card, no trial.
What the 27 checks actually cover
Every check is a rule in code, not a prompt. The agent parses the page it fetched - title, meta description, canonical, robots directive, viewport, lang, headings, images and alt text, internal and external links, Open Graph and Twitter tags, JSON-LD blocks, author and date signals, word count - and grades each one as pass, warning or critical. Findings are weighted by impact, rolled into six category scores, and blended into the overall number using fixed weights. The language model never sets a score.
- Technical foundation (20%): HTTPS, canonical, noindex, viewport, lang, a single H1, image alt text
- Content quality and depth (25%): word count against the SERP median, keyword placement, freshness
- AI-search readiness (20%): the five citability checks, also scored on their own
- Metadata and social (15%): title and description length, Open Graph completeness, twitter:card
- Links and structure (10%): internal link count, generic anchors, outbound references
- E-E-A-T signals (10%): author byline, published and modified dates, external sourcing
The citability score, and why it sits apart
AI-search readiness carries its own 0-100 citability score built from five weighted checks: answer-first structure (30), quotable sourced facts (25), FAQ or HowTo schema (20), chunkable H2 sections (15) and entity clarity (10). Those are the properties that decide whether an answer engine can lift a passage from your page and attribute it. Add a focus keyword and the audit also samples the live top ten for that query, returning the median competitor word count, how many ranking titles contain a number, and how many sampled pages carry FAQ or HowTo markup.
Reading the report and fixing in order
The report opens with a one-line verdict naming the single biggest constraint, then three ranked priorities carrying impact, effort and an estimated point gain. Findings follow in severity order, critical first. Schema is audited separately: existing blocks are checked for required and recommended properties, and missing types are flagged against the shape of the page, so a long article with question headings and no FAQ markup gets called out. Work top down, re-run, and watch the category scores move.
- Severity: critical, warning or pass
- Impact: High, Medium or Low, which is what weights the category score
- Current: the actual value pulled off your page
- Recommendation: the specific change, written against your evidence
- Evidence: affected image URLs and link anchors, listed individually
