Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Google account & Search Console data - if you connect the Growth Dashboard, we request read-only access to your Google Search Console data via Google OAuth. This includes your account email and Search Console metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, top queries, top pages, and device breakdowns) for the properties and date ranges you choose.
• Information you submit - name, email, and message if you use the contact form, and your email if you join the newsletter.
• Opt-out requests - if you use the opt-out form on our crawler page, the site’s host name, and an email address only if you choose to give one.
• Usage data - standard analytics (e.g., pages visited) collected via Google Analytics to understand and improve the Site.

How we use your information

• To fetch and display your Search Console performance inside the Growth Dashboard, at your request.
• To generate AI-assisted insights (such as classifying the search intent of your queries and writing a short summary).
• To respond to your inquiries and, if you opt in, to send you the newsletter.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Site.

Google user data & Limited Use

Specifically, for data accessed through Google Search Console:

• We request only the webmasters.readonly scope - we can read your Search Console data but cannot modify anything.
• Your Search Console data is fetched on demand and shown only to you. We do not store the raw rows of your reports. We store only what the Growth Dashboard needs between visits:
  • weekly totals (clicks, impressions, CTR, average position) for each property opened in the dashboard, so its history outlasts Search Console’s 16 month limit;
  • tied to your Google account email and the property: the plan of action you generate, the tasks you tick, the keyword owner pages you pick (these include the query text) and the change log you keep (what changed, on which page).
  We do not sell, rent, or share it.
• Search query text, page paths and Search Console metrics may be sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini, with Groq as a fallback) solely to classify search intent, write your summary and draft the plan of action you request. We do not use it to train models and do not keep it for any other purpose.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the feature you requested.

Labs tools & our crawler

When you run a Labs tool while signed in, our crawler, BuildWithSiddeshBot, fetches only the pages that tool needs, at that moment: the page, pages or sitemap you enter, each site’s robots.txt, and for the SEO Audit, the top 5 pages that rank in Google for your keyword. It does not crawl on a schedule. It also reads a Google Sheet you name as input, and once a day a small fixed set of public news feeds for the Pulse page. Pages on other people’s sites, such as the ranking pages the SEO Audit compares you with, are fetched through our crawler service on Cloudflare’s network.

Pages are read in memory to build your report; we do not store copies of them. Short extracts of a page may be sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini, with Groq as a fallback) to write parts of the report. Site owners can see how the crawler identifies itself and follows robots.txt, and opt their site out, on our crawler page.

Data storage & retention

Authentication tokens are kept in an encrypted, signed session cookie in your browser - not in a database - and expire automatically. You can revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions (opens in a new tab). Contact-form and newsletter details are retained only as long as needed to respond or to deliver the newsletter.

The following is stored in our content database (Sanity):

• Growth Dashboard weekly totals for each property, as described above.
• One saved plan of action per account and property, replaced each time you save.
• A Growth Dashboard change log, capped at the 100 newest entries per account and property.
• Your Labs run history: the last 40 tool runs, with the inputs you entered, under your account email.
• Daily usage counters for each signed-in person (tool runs and AI calls), used to apply the daily limits and kept for 14 days.
• If a tool shows what changed on a page since your last check: a fingerprint of that page’s key facts (such as its title, description, headings and dates, not the page itself), kept for 120 days.
• Reports you choose to share: anyone with the link can view the report, and the link expires after 180 days, when the report is deleted.
• Opt-out requests from our crawler page: the host name, for as long as the opt-out applies. An email address given with a request is kept with that request for no more than 30 days. To limit abuse of the form, the server counts requests from each IP address in memory for one day; IP addresses are not stored.

Our crawler service on Cloudflare keeps facts and short text samples from site crawls for 14 days, weekly snapshots of verified sites for 12 weeks, and job records and finding counts for 90 days. All are keyed by pseudonymous ids, and a site’s data is deleted within 24 hours of an opt-out.

Usage counters and page fingerprints are stored under pseudonymous ids: a one-way code made from your email address with a secret key, so these records do not contain your email address.

You can delete change log entries in the dashboard and runs in your Labs history. Disconnecting or revoking access stops new data being collected but does not delete what is stored; email us to have the rest deleted.

Third-party services

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the Site:

• Google - sign-in and Search Console API.
• Vercel - website hosting.
• Sanity - storage for saved Growth Dashboard data, Labs run history, usage counters, shared reports, crawler opt-out requests, contact messages and newsletter subscriptions.
• Google Gemini and Groq - AI inference for intent classification, summaries, plans of action and Labs tool reports (Groq is the fallback).
• Cloudflare - runs our crawler service, which fetches third-party pages for the Labs tools and stores the crawl records described above.
• Brevo - sending the newsletter and alert emails.
• Google Analytics - anonymous usage analytics.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication/session management and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to measure site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights & choices

• Disconnect Search Console at any time from the dashboard, or revoke access in your Google Account.
• Request access to, or deletion of, any information you’ve submitted or saved (including Growth Dashboard and Labs data) by emailing us.
• If you run a website, stop our crawler fetching it with a robots.txt rule or the opt-out form on our crawler page.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
