This Privacy Policy explains how BuildWithSiddesh (“we”, “us”, the “Site”), operated by Siddesh Bobade, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use this website and its tools - including the Growth Dashboard, which connects to Google Search Console.

Information we collect

  • Google account & Search Console data - if you connect the Growth Dashboard, we request read-only access to your Google Search Console data via Google OAuth. This includes your account email and Search Console metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, top queries, top pages, and device breakdowns) for the properties and date ranges you choose.
  • Information you submit - name, email, and message if you use the contact form, and your email if you join the newsletter.
  • Usage data - standard analytics (e.g., pages visited) collected via Google Analytics to understand and improve the Site.

How we use your information

  • To fetch and display your Search Console performance inside the Growth Dashboard, at your request.
  • To generate AI-assisted insights (such as classifying the search intent of your queries and writing a short summary).
  • To respond to your inquiries and, if you opt in, to send you the newsletter.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site.

Google user data & Limited Use

BuildWithSiddesh’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, for data accessed through Google Search Console:

  • We request only the webmasters.readonly scope - we can read your Search Console data but cannot modify anything.
  • Your Search Console data is fetched on demand and shown only to you in your own session. We do not store it in a database, and we do not sell, rent, or share it.
  • Search query text may be sent to our AI provider (Groq) solely to classify search intent and write your summary. It is not used to train models and is not retained for any other purpose.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the feature you requested.

Data storage & retention

Authentication tokens are kept in an encrypted, signed session cookie in your browser - not in a database - and expire automatically. You can revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Contact-form and newsletter details are retained only as long as needed to respond or to deliver the newsletter.

Third-party services

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the Site:

  • Google - sign-in and Search Console API.
  • Vercel - website hosting.
  • Groq - AI inference for intent classification and summaries.
  • Google Analytics - anonymous usage analytics.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication/session management and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to measure site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights & choices

  • Disconnect Search Console at any time from the dashboard, or revoke access in your Google Account.
  • Request access to, or deletion of, any information you’ve submitted by emailing us.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
