An internal linking tool that works on the page you are viewing

Internal links are one of the cheapest SEO wins, and finding them by hand is slow. Link Lens does the finding inside Chrome, on the live page in front of you. It builds an index of your site from its sitemap, so it works on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Hugo, custom builds or anything else with a sitemap. If there is no sitemap, a fallback mode takes over. Results open in Chrome's side panel and stay there while you edit the page.

How Link Lens finds internal link opportunities

The process is simple and runs in a few steps:

  • Link Lens reads your sitemap: sitemap.xml, sitemap index files, or the sitemap listed in robots.txt.
  • It derives the topic of each page from its URL.
  • It scans the page you are on for sentences that mention those topics.
  • Exact phrase matches are ranked first and near matches second.
  • The index is cached locally for 24 hours per site, with a one-click rebuild when your content changes.

What the internal link checker shows you

Every suggestion comes with the detail you need to add the link straight away, plus the context to decide which links matter most.

  • On-page highlights of the exact sentences that should link to your other pages
  • Suggested anchor text and a copy-ready HTML snippet for each opportunity
  • Placement signals that tag each suggestion as early, body or deep in the copy, so you can prioritise links that carry the most weight
  • Which target pages are already linked, so you never double-link
  • Keyword mode: enter a target keyword to highlight every spot where it should become an internal link, or check up to 20 pages to see which should link to your money page
  • Bulk mode: paste up to 20 URLs from your site and get one combined report
  • A client-ready CSV export with source URL, anchor text, target URL, match type and the full context sentence

Who uses Link Lens

Link Lens is made for SEO professionals, content editors and site owners running internal linking audits. Editors can fix links while they work on a page, because the side panel stays open next to the copy. Consultants can run bulk mode across a set of pages and hand the CSV report to a client or developer.

Private by design: 100% local analysis

Link Lens fetches only your own site's sitemap and pages. It requires no host permissions, has no account and sends nothing anywhere. There are no analytics and no tracking. The site index is stored locally in your browser.

What Link Lens does not do

Link Lens suggests links; it does not edit your CMS or insert links for you. You paste the HTML snippet yourself. Page topics come from URLs, so pages with unclear slugs will match less well. Bulk mode and site-wide keyword checks are limited to 20 pages per run.

About Link Lens

Frequently asked questions

Is Link Lens free?

Yes. Link Lens is a free Chrome extension with no account to create. You install it from the Chrome Web Store, open a page of your site and click Scan to see internal link opportunities highlighted on the page.

Does Link Lens work with WordPress and Shopify?

Yes. Link Lens builds its index from your sitemap, so it works on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Hugo, custom sites and any other platform that publishes a sitemap. If your site has no sitemap, a fallback mode is available.

How does Link Lens choose anchor text?

It derives the topic of each page in your sitemap from its URL, then looks for sentences on the current page that mention those topics. Exact phrase matches rank first and near matches second, and each suggestion includes anchor text and a copy-ready HTML snippet.

Can I check internal links across several pages at once?

Yes. Bulk mode lets you paste up to 20 URLs from your site and get one combined report. Keyword mode can also check up to 20 pages to show which of them should link to a chosen money page.

Does Link Lens send my site data anywhere?

No. Analysis is 100% local. Link Lens fetches only your own site's sitemap and pages, needs no host permissions, has no account, and sends nothing anywhere. There are no analytics and no tracking.

Can I export the internal link suggestions?

Yes. Link Lens exports a client-ready CSV with the source URL, anchor text, target URL, match type and the full context sentence for every opportunity, which makes it easy to hand the work to a writer, developer or client.
