Opportunity Finder

Enter your domain and competitors. Get a ranked opportunity backlog - content gaps, keyword whitespace, SERP features, and quick wins - segmented by effort and potential.

Input

Analysis is AI-generated based on your domain, industry, and known competitor patterns. Validate opportunities with live SERP data before executing.

Enter your domain to surface your opportunity backlog.

How it works

01

Enter your domain

Add your domain, industry, and competitors. The more context you give, the more targeted the opportunity list.

02

AI maps the whitespace

The engine analyses your position, known competitor strengths, and category patterns to identify what's missing from your strategy.

03

Ranked backlog generated

10-14 opportunities ranked by priority, segmented into quick wins (low effort, high return) and long-term compounders.

04

Filter and execute

Filter by segment, validate with live SERP data, and action the quick wins first. Revisit quarterly as your strategy evolves.

Opportunity Finder samples the live SERPs around your category, works out where competitors rank and you do not, and returns a ranked backlog of work worth doing. Each opportunity is typed, rated for effort and potential, split into quick wins and long-term plays, and justified against a real query or result. Free, and grounded in live search data rather than a cached index.

Content gap analysis built on live SERPs

Give it your domain, plus your industry and competitors if you have them. From those inputs it constructs up to four seed queries, typically a best-tools query for your category, a software comparison, a head-to-head against your first named competitor and that competitor's alternatives query. Each seed is run against Google in real time. The evidence that comes back, including the queries where your domain is missing from the top ten entirely, is what the opportunity list is reasoned from.

  • Top ten organic results with position, domain and snippet
  • People Also Ask questions and related searches
  • SERP features present, including AI Overviews and featured snippets
  • Whether your domain appears in the top ten at all
  • Which named competitors rank, and in which positions

A backlog, not another keyword list

The output is ten to fourteen opportunities, each classified as a content gap, keyword expansion, SERP feature, technical or backlink play. Every item carries a priority, an effort rating, a potential rating and a segment: quick win or long term. Quick wins are the high-potential, lower-effort items, usually four or five of them, and the remainder is sustained work. Each rationale cites the specific query, question, SERP feature or competitor domain it came from, so the reasoning can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Where it fits in a workflow

Run it at the start of a planning cycle, when you take on an unfamiliar site, or when a competitor's traffic starts climbing and you want to know what they built. The seed queries that were actually sampled are shown alongside the results, so you can judge the sample and rerun with a sharper industry term if it missed. Read the backlog next to your own Search Console data and the quick wins you are already close to filling become obvious.

Frequently asked questions

about the Opportunity Finder

What kind of opportunities does it find?

Queries you can realistically win that nobody on your team has covered - content gaps, quick wins near the first page, and intent your current pages do not serve.

Do I need Search Console connected?

No. The finder works from your domain and live SERP data, though pairing it with the Growth Dashboard gives a sharper picture of what is already close to ranking.
